Our journey began in 2016 under the name Habitat Concept, where we started creating custom corner benches for local customers, including many military families. Today, our fully-equipped warehouse and skilled artisans work hand in hand with advanced technology to produce high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces that make cherished spaces even more special.
As an interior designer from France, I was searching for the perfect piece of furniture for my own kitchen, which had an awkward corner that I wanted to transform into a functional area for my family to gather and create lasting memories. I designed a corner bench that fit perfectly into the space, and it quickly became a beloved centerpiece of my home. This experience inspired me to expand my vision and offer custom-made furniture to others, and Habitat Concept was born.
Over the years, we have evolved from a small Etsy shop to a reputable brand providing custom-made furniture for families across the country. We take pride in our ability to create functional, beautiful pieces that last a lifetime. Our journey began in 2016 as Habitat Concept, founded by a French interior designer searching for the perfect bench for her own awkward kitchen corner. Unable to find what she envisioned, she designed and built it herself and that one piece became the centerpiece of her home and the foundation of our business.
What started as a labor of love quickly grew. Word spread among local families and the military community in North Carolina, and we became known for one thing: building custom benches that turn forgotten corners into the heart of the home. In 2022, we rebranded as MyCornerBench to align with our growing online presence and the community we'd built. In 2023, we relocated our fully-equipped workshop to sunny Florida same skilled artisans, same obsession with detail, same mission.
