Jewelry is my passion. As a lifetime jewelry lover, I founded MyJewelrySource (MJS) in 2000 with the belief that high quality, precious jewelry should be affordable and last a lifetime.
I studied for and received a GIA Graduate Gemologist degree so that I could accurately inspect, test and describe our gemstones and jewelry. I have personally hand selected every gemstone that we offer and have chosen or designed each mounting for our jewelry. I can answer any detailed questions that you may have.
I know that it isn't easy to make a significant and important jewelry purchase over the internet, without seeing the item in person. So we have taken great care to represent our jewelry as accurately as possible, providing actual pictures of the jewelry that you would be purchasing and describing in detail the diamond, gemstone and gold or platinum weights, diamond and gemstone clarities, and the features of the piece. Because of this special attention, our customers absolutely love our jewelry and we have one of the lowest return rates in the industry.

Is there a restocking fee for returned items?
There is no restocking fee for in stock items.
For rings that are sized or are made for you in your size, the applicable restocking fee is stated in the item listing.
The amount refunded will be the total price paid less any shipping upgrade fees (e.g. 2nd day, overnight, etc), ring sizing restocking fee and/or special order non-refundable amount.
If an item is received in damaged condition, a restocking fee for the loss in value will be assessed at our discretion.
INTERNATIONAL Customers:
International customers are responsible for all fees related to a package which is not delivered or deliverable for any reason. This includes actual shipping costs and any associated taxes, duties, penalties or fees which are charged.

Please contact us to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if you wish to return an item.
All items must be returned in the original, undamaged condition with the tamper resistant tag attached. Items sold as a pair must be returned together (e.g. chains and pendants). Items returned without the tamper resistant tag will not be accepted. Items which are scratched or damaged will be subject to a repair fee. We cannot accept any item which has been modified by another party.
Items must be shipped back within 30 days of the original delivery date. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and assumes all risks for loss or damage in transit.
INTERNATIONAL Customers must declare the item as a "return".

90 Day Repair Warranty
The warranty covers defects in manufacturing or loosening of gemstones or diamonds. We will repair any defective item at no charge.
Diamond up to 10 points in size, all semi-precious gemstone side stones and semi-precious center stones of up to 1 carat in size are fully covered by our warranty in case of loss due to a manufacturing defect. Warranty coverage is based on the sole determination of MyJewelrySource, and expressly excludes coverage for excessive wear and tear, poor care, abuse, loss or theft, or loss of a center stone (precious gemstone, diamond, or semi-precious gemstone over 1 carat).
Repair or alterations by another party will void this warranty.

Gemstone Clarity Determination
The gemstone clarity grade is based on the number and visibility of inclusions. Some gemstones naturally tend to have more inclusions than others. Therefore, the industry groups gemstones into three types: Type I, II, and III. Type I stones are usually eye-clean with no inclusions visible to the naked eye. Type II stones typically show some eye-visible inclusions that don't detract from the gem's overall beauty. Type III stones are almost always included and show eye-visible inclusions.
All gemstones are graded in natural daylight or a fluorescent equivalent per the GIA grading recommendations by our GIA Graduate Gemologist. VVS1 and VVS2 are the highest clarity grades given to gemstones.

What does "Natural" or "Unheated" mean?
The term natural means that the gemstone was mined from the earth and is not lab created nor synthetic. Many gemstones will undergo some sort of industry standard permanent treatment once mined. For example all blue topaz is naturally extremely pale and is irradiated and 99% of sapphires used in jewelry are heated.
Approximately 1% of sapphires used in jewelry are unheated/untreated. These sapphires undergo no extra treatment (except for cutting and polishing) after being mined from the ground. These sapphires are very rare and do command a premium in price.
What is a Ceylon Sapphire
Sapphires are mined all over the world. The oldest sapphire mines are located in Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon), where gemstones were mined in ancient times. Sapphires mined from Sri Lanka are still called Ceylon sapphires and are highly sought after by collectors and the public for their luminosity and brilliance and therefore command a price premium over other sapphires. We import nearly all of our sapphires directly from Sri Lanka to make our beautiful Ceylon sapphire jewelry.
Sapphires come in all shades of the rainbow and some Ceylon pink and yellow sapphires look very much like pink and yellow diamonds.
