Note from shop owner For those of you with open orders, I appreciate your patience more than you know. As you may know, we've been dealing with behavior and health issues with my youngest which has prevented me from working very much, but we are getting closer to an answer and hopefully she'll be better soon. I've also been dealing with health issues that we believe may be Celiac Disease, so many days have been a struggle to even get out of bed. Your support means the world to me.

I aim to have every single open order shipped by May 24th at the latest, which is the last day of school for my son and the official start to our summer break.

I am humbly asking for help again as summer quickly approaches. For those of you who don't know me: I am a single working mom to three children with various special needs and/or chronic illnesses. Every summer I have to take off work from mid-May until mid-August so that I can do therapy at home with my kids and take care of them while their illnesses are flaring (for example: my middle gets high fevers with various symptoms every few weeks). The loss of income makes it difficult to get the things needed to keep the kids busy during the summer with their various areas of delays/needs.

Summer is difficult with a special needs son, who is used to the daily routine at school. I'm hoping to stock up on art/school supplies so that we can stay busy all summer and homeschool a bit so that he doesn't regress before 1st grade in the Fall. He has developmental delays, specifically with fine motor skills (cutting, holding writing tools correctly, buttoning, zipping, etc), as well as sensory issues (mainly with textures) so I'm trying to add games/activities that target those areas so that he can continue working on it until his Occupational Therapy evaluation and ABA therapy begins hopefully in the Fall. He also struggles with speech enunciation, interacting with adults, story telling, remembering details about his day, regulating emotions, and patience when finishing a task.

I'm also working on speech therapy and preschool readiness with my middle child who has a lateral lisp and rare autoinflammatory disorder, and keeping my 3 year old chronically sick daughter busy while focusing on therapy with her brother. Hopefully my middle child will be starting preschool in the Fall with speech therapy, so I need to continue working with her and certain behaviors she has been exhibiting so that she'll be ready for school in August.

We appreciate all of your help! I hope to one day be able to pay it forward like you all have! Please, even if you are unable to purchase anything, PLEASE share this message and link on your social media pages so that others can see it. I don't expect to receive everything, or even ANYTHING for that matter, but every little bit will help so much!!! God bless!

See you all in August! Have a wonderful summer vacation! I may have occasional flash sales over on Instagram throughout the summer, so please keep following me over there so that you can be notified if/when those sales happen :)

I purchased a doll of my son’s patron saint Damien of Molokai. We are both delighted with it! It is incredibly well-crafted and includes lovely details.

About

Who Am I??

I am a Catholic single mom to three kids named Joseph Nicholas (May 2012), Brookelyn Anne (Jan 2014) and Amberlyn Rose (Mar 2015). I was homeschooled from 2nd grade through high school, and then attended a local community college for a couple of years before getting married.

I am the oldest of seven kids and, except for a sister at Christendom College, we all still live at home with my parents. The phrase “It takes a village” has never meant more to me than it does right now. Moving back in with my family following the separation and divorce was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Four years ago, my mom (owner of Loreto Rosaries) was asked to be a vendor at a Living Advent conference. She had the idea to sell some cute little felt saint dolls in addition to her Rosaries, but didn’t have enough time to make them. I offered to help, and fell in love! After a successful conference, I decided to start my own business and expand my inventory.

I design and hand-sew stuffed felt saint dolls. Each doll is roughly 5 inches tall and an inch thick. They are the perfect size for little hands! My son started playing with them at about 6 months old, and my 8-year-old sister still plays with them. I keep a few in our Mass bag for the kids to entertain themselves with when they start getting a little too rowdy. Some people have ordered them as stocking stuffers, others have put them in Easter baskets, and some even give them as First Communion presents. The gift possibilities are endless!

I started out with only three Saints – St Nicholas, St Lucy and Our Lady of Guadalupe. I now have over 50 Saints to choose from! I also accept custom orders. I love designing new dolls, and I think I say the same phrase every time: “This is my new favorite!” Honestly, if you were to ask me which is my favorite, I wouldn’t be able to choose. I love them all!

Three years ago, I expanded my business by designing a Nativity scene. I offer both a 3-piece set and a 10-piece set, which includes the Three Wise Men, Angel, Shepherd, and animals. I offer the Three Wise Men separately as well.

Two years ago I designed a 28-piece Jesse Tree set. This is probably one of my favorite accomplishments in my business. One of our main Advent traditions growing up was doing the daily Jesse Tree devotions with paper ornaments decorated every year, and a wooden dowel tree that was built at some point during my childhood. I love those memories but I wanted to design something more durable and permanent. I love how the ornaments look on a Christmas tree. We usually set up our Christmas tree at the beginning of Advent with purple lights and use it as a Jesse Tree until Christmas Eve.

This year I have created Saint bookmarks, a couple of Lent and Easter items, finger puppets, and headbands. I was also a vendor at the IHM Homeschool Conference in Fredericksburg, Va in June! I'm also venturing into embroidered hoops and canvases, and hope to somehow combine my dolls with the hoops/canvases :) I'm also offering a few wooden peg dolls, as well as rosaries and bracelets, I'll be adding patterns for instant download, and I participate in a weekly Catholic artisan auction every Tuesday on Instagram over at @zelieandco.

I hope you love my items as much as I do! God bless!!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I absolutely accept custom and personalized orders! In fact, I welcome them! :) I love designing new dolls, so if you'd like something that isn't currently listed, PLEASE send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate.

Care instructions

I recommend mostly spot cleaning with a wet washcloth or baby wipe, but I have thrown them in the washing machine and dryer before and they came out perfectly fine. **This is a personal experience with my specific washer/dryer combo and cannot be expected to be the same for everyone**

Sizing details

The regular size dolls are roughly 5 inches tall from the top of the halo to the bottom of the doll. They are around 2.5 inches wide and about 1 inch "fat" :)

What if I want to cancel my order?

I accept cancellations within 48 hours of purchase.

Wholesale availability

At this time, I cannot do wholesale. I am a single mother to 3 children, running this business alone, and I simply do not have time to keep up with wholesale orders. Hopefully in the future!
