I had ordered a few 'similar' (note the scare quotes) latches for comparison from Amazon and other suppliers... smaller, cheap, and they were flimsy, very poorly made... in comparison these are robust, solid brass, nice finish (not polished/reflective, rather, slightly aged in patina) which suited my purposes well. Very happy with the purchase.

Why is the shipping cost expensive?
International shipping costs may be higher due to the following reasons:
a. International postal rate increases
This is an overseas shipment. Major postal services such as USPS®, Canada Post, and UK Post have adjusted their international shipping rates, increasing since August 29, 2025.
b. Export-related costs
Solid brass hardware shipments may require additional export taxes, handling fees that must be paid by the seller.
c. Parcel shipping requirements, as hardware items cannot be shipped as documents.
d. U.S. shipments require DHL Express for reliable delivery, customs clearance, and tracking, which costs more than standard postal shipping.
