One-of-a-Kind Handpicked Seashell Treasure from the Sea!
Ever since I was a little girl, the beach has been a second home to me. I have always been inspired by the natural beauty of the sea... The salty smell in the air, the fine white sand, egg-shaped oval & silky-smooth pebbles, turquoise water, the sound of the waves – by far my favorite place to be!
I’ve been captivated & inspired by the various shapes, unique colors, and textures of the natural seashells found on the beach, which apparently range from days old to thousands of years old – a pure treasure from the ocean...
It wasn’t until years later, with a degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology, that I decided to pursue my passion & enrolled in jewelry design to learn how to finely carve and cut silver, gold, bronze, copper, even seashells!
I found it fascinating to experiment & mix different materials, but also challenging to precisely cut and carve unique shapes. I worked hard on refining my technique and started experimenting with cutting and carving seashells. Throughout this process, I realized that it was easier to handle metals but took much more precision and dedication to skillfully cut and carve spiral seashells.
My goal was to keep the essence of the seashell, hoping to exclude any other material, and shape it into a statement ring – Seashells to me are exquisite & captivating, I aspire to make them shine in their most natural form.
Once I graduated from F.I.T., I decided to dedicate more time to pursuing my vision & successfully handcrafted spiral seashells into one-of-a-kind jewelry: rings, necklaces & bracelets. What started as a creative idea ended up becoming a passion with a focus on nurturing customer satisfaction.
Throughout my career, I have learned that a fine-tuned process is the key to unlocking creative potential. Undertaking complex tasks with an exceptional attention to detail is my specialty!
