About

Native Island Made Things, a cultural craft gift shop in Spot Bay, Cayman Brac since 1986.

My parents opened NIM Things back in 1986 to sell Jewelry my Dad, Tenson Scott made from the local gem stone that is found only in the Cayman Islands thus its name Caymanite and to sell other items my mom, Starrie along with other local people made. It is a family business that gives you a cultural experience whenever you visit. From poundin local almonds to feed our parrot or listening to my Dad's island stories to if you are lucky, eating a piece of coconut pie made from scratch by my mom.

Our traditional Caymanian building store is a treasure in its self and it's where you will find gifts to buy for yourself or friends that are unquestionably locally handmade or designed in the Cayman Islands. Gifts and things such as Silver Thatch baskets, hats, fish and turtles etc, Caymanite and Shell Jewelry, shells and coral creations, along with my paintings in acrylic and watercolor, my digital art, photography, postcards and books.
