Salutations! I'm The Real McKoy, the mind and heart behind NMLFRM, a t-shirt and etc. brand rooted in the high-concept themes of dreams, dark humor, and the esoteric. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, I'm not just a t-shirt designer but also a branding and identity consultant with a penchant for the whimsical and profound.
NMLFRM began in the wake of a personal challenge - a cancer diagnosis in 2018. This experience was a turning point, igniting a renewed passion for design and an exploration of life's deeper meanings. As I stepped into remission, approaching what feels like a new lease on life, my designs became a canvas for my thoughts, a reflection of my journey with mortality and the realization of our collective smallness in the grand scheme of things.
Each piece I create for NMLFRM is more than just apparel; it's a snippet of my world - a blend of surreal dreamscapes, playful yet poignant reflections, and a celebration of life's enigmatic beauty. My designs often feature birds (and other animals) because I think they're weird and they crack me up.
