I assume you are aware of what's happening in the silver market and the drastic increase in prices in the past year. So let's talk very briefly about how this affects you and my shop.

This is what is happening and my promise to you:
- At this time I am NOT raising my prices on what I create. I realize for me this means I am paying more for silver and making less, but that is just how we are going to weather this storm.
- I have separated out the pricing for pendants, leather cords and sterling chains. This means you can purchase just the pendant alone if you choose.
- The prices of my sterling chains have increased based on the market price. However, I am still pricing them at wholesale bulk prices so you will get high quality chains at the best price possible.
- Many of my silver jewelry colleagues are switching to working with copper and bronze. I intend to continue working with only 99.9% fine silver. I admire them for taking on a new challenge, but want to stick with what I know and love.
- I will continue to work hard to offer you the best price without ever sacrificing quality.

I have been in business for five years. In the last five years, I have only raised my prices once and that was $5 across the board. But silver has soared an unbelievable amount in the last nine months.

In July 2025 silver was $27 an ounce. In January 2026 it skyrocketed to $115. Currently (April) it is sitting around $80, almost three times what it was last summer. Analysts are clear in their prediction that it isn't going to decrease in any significant amount, and will very likely increase again to around $100 an ounce. These price increases affect every single part of my jewelry. Necklace chains have literally quadrupled with my most popular chain increasing from $15 to $60 wholesale - just for the chain alone.

This is happening for four reasons.
- Silver is a "safe haven" asset which is very desirably for investors when the market is volatile and uncertain, which it has been for the past year.
- Secondly, silver is also an industrial metal and in high demand due to its use in renewable energy and green tech. This demand causes it to be less plentiful.
- In addition, silver's dual nature as both an industrial commodity and as a precious metal investment makes its response to tariffs complex.
- And lastly, there is the consequential impact of inflation that is continuing.
