The roots of Nautical Expressions
As a child I collected "treasures" ...on the beach, camping, & out in nature. Everywhere I traveled I collected & found a great love for nature & all the beauty that it creates.
Around 8 years old I received a Christmas present that has been my favorite now for years. It was a craft kit given to me by my Aunt. Little did I know at the time it was the beginning of a journey that would eventually lead me to a passion in crafting.
I picked up my first camera around 9 years of age and have not put it down since. Creating is an outlet for me that has allowed me to explore my artistic side. Seeing something through the lenses of a camera is an experience I never bore of. Most of my crafts are inspired by the beach, hence the name Nautical Expressions. No matter what time of the year the beach brings me serenity & inspiration. I'm lucky to have a family who has put up with my camera flashes and constant leaning over to pick up some sort of treasure. I'm blessed that my kids share the same passion for treasure hunting, crafting, photography and seeing something new in something that is old.
