Hi, and welcome to my shop!
I'm a retired teacher who has been crafting since I was five years old, taught by my grandmothers. Everything I know about making beautiful things — the patience, the stitches, the eye for color — I learned sitting beside them.
My name is Walelah, which means “hummingbird” in Cherokee. That's where Nectar & Thread comes from: the nectar is for the hummingbird in my name, and the thread is for the crafting my grandmothers passed down to me. Like the hummingbird gathering nectar, I gather beautiful fabrics, beads, and threads, and turn them into jewelry, quilts, and handmade goods for your home and life. Every piece is made by my own two hands, and I hope you can feel the love in it.
Thank you for stopping by — and for supporting handmade.
