Where Creative Freedom Reigns!
I'm pretty much overflowing with creative ideas ALL. THE. TIME! As you can tell from the wide range of our hand made items (and digital designs), we make so many different items with care and attention to detail. I can't be limited to one, two, or a few specialties; as a result, we here at Needle & Thread, Etc. specialize in etcetera!
I've always been a creative, craft-loving, DIY type of person. (Not to mention a detail oriented perfectionist.) I love to create with my hands, and watch my vision turn to reality. I also love designing new and exciting items and introducing them here in this little Etsy shop.
I also get to create with my Mom (who lives three houses away from me), so we get to bounce creative ideas off of each other constantly! When my Mom asked me one day, back in 2015, if I wanted to do a local craft show with her, I said "Sure!". Thus, Needle & Thread, Etc. was born! Together with my Mom, we operate Needle & Thread, Etc. in our "spare" time.
Once the craft shows were over, I wanted to find a way to continue creating different beautiful things, and to get our products noticed, I realized that Etsy was the perfect place for us!
Aside from seeing an idea turn into reality, what I love the most is the impact something so personal has on somebody. Most of our hand made creations hold personal meaning and significance; something that deeply touches the heart. We love to hear the stories of how something we've made has touched the recipient in a profound way; it touches our heart too!
Etsy has been a great vehicle for providing our quality, made with care, hand-made items to people all over the US! Without Etsy, the majority of our customers would never have the opportunity to own a quality Needle & Thread, Etc. creation.
STORY UPDATE: When Needle & Thread, Etc. started in 2015, I was raising two babies at the time, just two years between them. Etsy has allowed me to stay at home to raise them, while I built my business at night, literally as they slept. Besides, who needs sleep? As the years have passed, I have loved watching Needle & Thread, Etc. blossom into what it has become today.
I thoroughly enjoy interacting with all of our customers. When they contact us with ideas, or questions about their order or their design, we love working with them to answer their questions or concerns. We are proud to say that customer service is very important to us, as we treat all of our customers the way that we would like to be treated. That's the golden rule!
The personalized aspect of what we do here is what gives me the most satisfaction and heart-felt fullfilment.
