A 5th grade teacher, wife, and a mother of two boys who has an obsession with fabric!
Once I set my mind on something, I give it my all. I have been like that my entire life. I think that's the reason why I am where I am today. I am a teacher. A wife. A mother. A new business owner (EEEEEEKKKK!!). Sometimes I am in still in shock that I own my own business. It is all new to me but I am so excited for this new journey.
I started quilting and my fabric obsession in 2015 and man oh man I have came a long way as a quilter. I don't really remember what got me into quilting ( I have always loved crafting) but I do remember the feeling I got when I told myself “I am going to teach myself how to quilt!”. So I set my mind on learning how to quilt. I researched and researched! I watched countless Youtube tutorial videos on quilting and read numerous quilting blogs. I pinned all my quiltsperations on Pintrest and had no clue when I would start all these quilting ideas. I researched the best but cheapest sewing machines and all the important sewing notions I would need to start my new hobby. Let’s just say I went a little too crazy on Amazon and went totally overboard when I stepped into my first quilt shop. It was heavenly. I had no clue where to begin. I do remember how much I enjoyed looking and touching each fabric. I had no clue how to pick and match fabric. My first quilt was hideous (a little harsh) but with each quilt I made my quilting skills improved.
I have made so many quilts since the beginning. I have made quilts for coworkers, my mother, grandmother, husband and son. I started to really enjoy making baby quilts that I even started selling baby quilts and other sewing projects on my Etsy account. I really fell in love with quilting and fabric so much that I started to daydream about having my own fabric shop. I am happy that I eventually made those daydreams a reality. Now I can enjoy fabric and quilting notions all day every day.
Now I have my mind set on taking this business very far and becoming a successful business owner. I want to provide quality and adorable fabric to all those fabric addicts (it also gives me a reason to buy more fabric hehehe). I want to make picking fabric easier and enjoyable all by clicking a button and shopping in the comfort of your own home. I am excited to see where this crazy dream takes me.
