"Rue resserrée" (ROO reh-ssuh-RAY) means "narrow street" in French. France has been the center of the fashion world for hundreds of years. It still is today. To emphasize that this is a fashionable clothing line--and not just a line of religious T-Shirts--French just made sense. Also, the word "resserrée" sounds to the English-speaker like "resurrected." All clothing in this line is either second-hand, close-out, or made from discounted/thrifted textiles. The purpose of this clothing line is to resurrect the cast off and unwanted into items that are not only fashionable, but also speak of something greater than themselves.

RUEresserrée (TM) was born in the spirit of redemption. As God can truly redeem any human, He can also redeem fashion to become something greater than itself. Fashion that makes a statement worth making. Fashion that glorifies the Creator. Fashion that inspires the created. Fashion that stays out of landfills. Fashion that takes responsibility. Fashion that takes what already exists and changes it into something more.
