Handmade sustainable solutions for the zero waste grocery shopping journey.
In 2015 I started my zero-waste journey and my biggest struggles were to do it in a non-zero-waste home. I learned the hard way that we should lead by example and not insist that others do things the way we do them.
I started sewing my own produce bags, shopping bags, and coffee filters, and mending my own clothes. For four years it was just me and my Mason jars. In 2019 when I move in with my husband we started a zero-waste home together.
Our Home Studio
Neta is a small business that I run from our apartment. To me, the zero waste movement is all about sustainability, fair trade, helping small businesses, and thriving together as a community. That is the reason that we use fair trade and organic fabrics, deadstock from small online fabric shops and we share our experiences online.
I design products with their life cycle in mind. Sustainability is the watchword when it comes to making goods. There is a long path between where I am and where I want to be related to the zero waste journey, But every decision I make when purchasing to manufacture the products is made according to what will generate the smallest carbon footprint possible.
I hope you can let the things that I create be part of the solutions to your zero-waste journey.
