About Netherwisp

Sales 21
On Etsy since 2017

Netherwisp creates pieces of wearable art to make you shine!

Netherwisp creates wearable pieces of art that give the illusion to be made from heavy metal or leather but are lightweight, flexible and comfortable to wear.
I love creating full costumes or loose pieces that make you feel like you are in a different world. Wearing them makes you feel you just entered a new chapter of your own fairy-tale or epic adventure and will make you stand out.
All my work is handmade with lots of love, joy and a little bit of wonder. Each piece is therefore unique just like every person.
Thank you for taking your time exploring my shop.
I hope it gives people as much enjoyment to look at my wearable art as I have designing and creating them.
Please do feel free to ask me a question!

Frequently asked questions
What is it all made of?

All my work is handmade with lots of love, joy and a little bit of wonder!
And latex, lots and lots of latex.

Why are there stains/messy bits on the back of the wearable piece of art?

This is what I like to call the chaotic side of creativity! The back of my art is always a little bit messy and it can’t be helped. It’s caused during and part of the process of throwing around latex and paints.
But you will not see this while wearing the piece. (Unless you plan wearing it inside out, which I wouldn’t recommend ;-))

Care instructions

How do you clean this piece of art?
I advise when there is dirt on your piece to softly wipe or dab it with a damp soft cloth.
If your piece gets smelly you can spray some vinegar on the fabric side and lay it into the sunshine outside to dry. Do make sure your piece is safe outside from rain, wind or for example wild cats. :)

Your piece of wearable art is flexible and should bounce back so it can take quite some push and shove but I also advice to store your piece of wearable art in the form it wants to be naturally and not stuff it in something contained.

Why are the shipping/packing costs so high?

Shipping costs are just whooping high when you want to send out a package outside your own country borders. But I do try to keep them as low as possible. I also want to make sure you get your packages as safely and fast as possible with a track and trace. I do not make any profit on this.
Also keep in mind Etsy takes a 6% fee off everything, also the shipping costs.

My order arrived damaged what should I do?

I send all my pieces of art with great care and check them before packaging. I take pictures of the goods before sending them to assure they are in their best condition. And of the package I send them in.
If your package arrived damaged: before opening it take pictures instantly of the damaged arrival. If you received something damaged, please hang onto the original packaging and the damaged item and then contact me within 3 days with clear pictures.
If you think your piece of wearable art was damaged before being packaged: please take clear pictures of the damage on the item immediately and contact me with the pictures within 3 days of arrival.

Is your art waterproof?

It is water resistant.
For swimming the short answer is, on most of my pieces, yes. With a disclaimer that it might take away from the lifespan of the piece. Without swimming your piece could last a lifetime when treated well but when you swim with it often you can expect to experience wear on your item in 2-3 years time.
The bra's are not made for swimming because they are made on top of cotton padded bra's and the water seeps in through the fabric backside. To be on the safe side I would NOT recommend swimming with the bra's. Trying is on own risk.

When a little wet I recommend to dab it dry with a soft cloth.
If your piece does get soaked I advise to lay it flat on the backside on a dry towel and wait for it to dry up.

Can I use your photographs?

Not without asking and getting my permission to do so.

Can I combine items to lower shipping costs?

Yes of course. For bigger items in my shop Etsy should do that automatically. But for smaller items in my shop not. So if you would like to combine items just send me a conversation and ill make a personalized listing for you with the items you want and combined shipping costs.
