Retirement has been good for me
He dedicado toda mi vida a las manualidades. Vengo de un pequeño pueblo de Illinois. Cosía mi propia ropa en la preparatoria y asistí a mi primera feria de artesanía hace más de 40 años con mis artículos de crochet y navideños. A lo largo de los años, he usado colchas viejas, flores secas y encaje vintage para vender en diversas ferias de artesanía. El estilo vintage siempre me ha inspirado y disfruto agregándolo a mi tienda de Etsy. Mis últimas creaciones están inspiradas en bodas vintage.
Después de criar a mis hijos y hacer manualidades en casa, me reencontré en 2008 con una tienda de letreros, rotulé camiones y fabricé letreros metálicos para la zona. Abrí mi tienda de Etsy en 2011. Aunque la tienda de letreros se mantuvo muy ocupada, mi pasión son los artículos hechos a mano. ¡Vecinos me encargaron piezas únicas que luego se incluyeron en una nueva publicación de Etsy!
Ahora que estoy semi-jubilada, paso más tiempo en mi tienda de Etsy (¡y además cuidando a mis nietos!). ¡Estén atentas a las nuevas incorporaciones!
Crafting all of my life, I come from a small town in Illinois. Sewing my own clothes in high school, I attended my first craft show more than 40 years ago with my crochet and Christmas sewn items. Through the years, I have used old quilts, dried flowers, and vintage lace to peddle at various craft shows. Vintage has always inspired me and I am enjoying adding it to me Etsy shop. My latest additions being vintage wedding inspired.
After raising my boys and crafting at home for myself, I dove back into it again in 2008 with a sign shop, lettering trucks and making metal signs for the area and opening my Etsy shop in 2011. Though the sign shop kept very busy, my love is my handmade items. Local folks commissioned me to handcraft unique pieces which worked into to a new Etsy listing!
Now being semi-retired, I'm spending more time in my Etsy shop (plus sitting for the grandchildren!). Watch for new additions!
