The art and science of garment design
I've built costumes since my earliest childhood memories. I learned at my grandmother's knee as she tailored and mended and modified garments on her Singer industrial sewing machine. My degree is in clothing design and production from Colorado State University and I have hundreds of patterns that I have flat pattern drafted or draped on a dress form that are just waiting for me to convert to digital form and more designs in my head than I can ever create!
Historical garment research has been a driving force in my design process for decades and I continue to grow in the art and science of reconstructive sewing. I am deeply passionate about accessible fashion for all bodies with no limits on configuration or gender. You deserve to feel your best in the skin you're in and I want to help you in my own small way.
You might think the sighthound coats an odd pairing with my other designs but they too have unusual body configuration that is often difficult to cloth in ready to wear off the rack dog coats. I have volunteered for many years with the Colorado Italian Greyhound Rescue providing coats and belly bands for our skinny, thermally challenged dog friends.
