Una delle cose che mi ha particolarmente affascinato nel campo della lavorazione dell'oro e dell'argento è il fatto che si tratta di una professione molto antica.
Nonostante questo campo esista da molti anni, esiste una grande varietà di strumenti e tecniche che possono essere utilizzati per elaborare la materia prima, molti stili creativi diversi e, naturalmente, una costante espansione del settore in nuovi ambiti.
Ciò mi consente, come artista, di continuare ad apprendere e ad ampliare le mie conoscenze e soddisfa il mio desiderio interiore di ricerca.
Il mio primo incontro con il metallo è sempre molto emozionante:
Poiché ogni lega ha caratteristiche fisiche e chimiche, temperatura di fusione, compattezza e lucentezza diverse, devo prima osservare la materia prima e studiare il modo in cui agisce la sostanza.
Per iniziare a lavorarlo, devo sapere quando colpire più forte con il martello e quando mollare la presa. Devo imparare quali tecniche usare con ogni metallo per dargli vita a nuove dimensioni.
Successivamente osservo il prodotto finito, lo studio, lo sistemo e lo modifico se necessario, lo lucido e lo levigo per dargli quel tocco finale speciale.
Poi c'è la realizzazione dell'espressione di sé attraverso il lavoro creativo, che ha trasformato questa creatura elementare e originale in una collezione che resiste alle sfide del tempo e che darà ispirazione a chi la indossa.
La gioia più grande che provo nell'essere un fabbro è la sfida e il potere di creare.

One of the things that especially appealed to me in the field of gold and silver crafting is the fact that it's a very ancient profession.
For the many years this field exists, there is a great variety of tools and techniques which can be used to process the raw material, many different creative styles, and of course a constant expanding of the field into new areas.
This allows me, as an artist, to continue to learn and widen my knowledge and it resolves my inner craving for research.
My first encounter with the metal is always very moving:
Because each alloy has different physical and chemical qualities, melting temperature, firmness and glow, I must first observe the raw material and study the way the substance acts.
In order to start processing it I must know when to hit harder with a hammer and when to let go. I must learn which techniques to use with each metal in order to bring to life new dimensions in it.
Next I observe the finished product, study it, fix and change it if necessary, polish it and smooth it to give it that special final touch.
Than there is the realization of the self expression through the creative work, which has turned this elementary and original creature into a collection that sticks through the challenges of time and which will give inspiration to those who wear it.
The greatest joy for me in being a metal smith is the challenge, and the power to create.
