5 out of 5 starsThe sleeping mermaid carved wood is absolutely stunning. Much attention was paid to the grain of wood which enhances the look of the piece. She joins some other mermaids on my bathroom walls. The packaging provided much protection and shipping was quick. This is a highly recommended Etsy shop. I will be back for the sleeping Merman! All of your efforts are appreciated.

If it is to be a sculpture, I start with a block of wood similar to this piece of butternut. -
The blank has been cut on a bandsaw. I have started removing part of the excess on the legs of what will become a turtle -
I am working my way through him often at a turtle's pace! -
Here he is finished with a butterfly that landed on his back and surprised him! -
Here I am stropping tools for the next project.
To me wood holds magic within it!
