Your privacy matters to us

This policy explains how Notebury collects, uses and shares your information when you buy from us, contact us or use our services through Etsy. It doesn't cover third parties we don't own or control, including Etsy. Etsy's own Privacy Policy explains how Etsy handles your data.

What we receive
When you order or message us, we receive your name, email address, order details and anything you write to us. Etsy handles your payment, so we never see your full card details.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To deliver your order and help you: we need this to provide what you bought.
- To meet legal duties: for example, keeping purchase records for tax.
- To run our shop properly: we have a legitimate interest in improving our service and following Etsy's rules, as long as this doesn't override your rights.
- To send marketing: only if you've clearly agreed, and you can change your mind at any time.

What we don't do
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for any other purpose.

Who else may see it
We only share information when we need to:
- Etsy: to provide our service and follow Etsy's rules.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the shop, such as our email provider and accountants, and only as much as they need.
- Business changes: if we sell or merge our business, as far as the law allows.
- Legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to prevent fraud and protect our customers and others.

Transfers outside your country
We're based in Turkey, and our service providers may store or process information in the US and other countries. Data protection laws there may differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we use proper safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for your order, support and legal or tax records. This is generally 10 years. After that, we delete it.

Your rights
If you live in certain places, including the EU, you may have these rights. Some apply only in certain cases.
- Access: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Change, restrict or delete: ask us to correct it, limit how we use it, or delete it. We'll generally delete it on request unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Object: object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and stop any marketing messages.
- Complain: raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
