In loving memory of Nova Ray Dunn
Hey Everyone!
I want to start by telling you how the name of the shop came about.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with PCOS and began undergoing treatments so that my husband and I would be able to begin trying to conceive when we got married. We married in October of 2015 and had a few more fertility issues along the way including a miscarriage and being told we would not be able to have children on our own.
In April of 2018 we found out that we were expecting and couldn’t have been more excited! On April 9, 2018 we went in for our confirmation of pregnancy and our first ultrasound where we got some life changing news.....
WE WERE EXPECTING IDENTICAL TRIPLET GIRLS!!!
Crazy I know!
Fast forward to 30weeks gestation and we walked into what would be our very last ultrasound, baby b had passed away. Baby B was named Nova Ray Dunn, my husband had picked her name and it fit her well. She was perfect, our remaining two girls were delivered the very next morning due to some complications from Nova’s passing and spent 7 weeks in the NICU.
The girls will be turning 2 this year and I have always felt like I needed something else to celebrate Nova’s life and my girls’ beginning. That’s how NovaRay&Co. came about. Who could ever dislike a shop they named after their child? I knew for sure it would be a name that I would love and cherish during my time here.
I only hope that I can do her memory justice by creating handmade goods that are as beautiful and unique to my customers as Nova will always be to me.
