The voyage of H.M.S. Challenger from 1873-1876 provided positive proof that life really did exist on the deep-sea bed. Scientists were also able for the first time to identify sediment material as extraterrestrial dust from comets x asteroids. The logo illustrations are by Ernst Haeckel of organic material discovered on that trip. The findings were considered OBJECTS of MATTER.
Antique x Vintage hunting trips are parallel to an archeological dig or anthropology study in which the OBECTS we discover reveal as much about the history of our culture as they do about ourselves. Here at OM, we are curious about the history of the OBJECTS as well as its potential future. We also anthropomorphize our inanimate OBJECTS by imbuing them with personas or exercising poetic license when describing its essence or imagined previous owners.
