A happy little corner of the world
My name is Jennifer (Jen) Peters.
OLIO + collected is my creative outlet. OLIO means a random collection or assortment of things. It also means "oil" in Italian- a language I've been enchanted by since high school and studied in college. I am starting my shop with essential oil clutches and wallets (I make each one by hand), with dreams of expanding!
I've loved creating for as long as I can remember. My momma was the arts and crafts director at our YMCA growing up, so my passion started young. Some of my favorite memories are at an old pottery kick-wheel in a dirty back room of the YMCA.
After we got pregnant with our daughter, the desire to create really came out again in full force (nesting, anyone?). I started with a hand-sewn mobile and got a sewing machine for Christmas. Then came the baby clothes, curtains, purses, clutches... I decided to start an Etsy shop with a couple of goals in mind:
1. Become a stay-at-home mommy
2. Fund a future adoption (details unknown to anyone (including me) but the Lord for now.)
