Oxhip Studio - Natural Curiosities
Oxhip Studio began in 2014 after taking a leap of faith and leaving my day job as an illustrator and graphic designer in a corporate office. I soon landed a gig painting animals and ecosystems for the National Park System (my absolute dream job)! My etsy shop is an extension of this leap, and began as a way to make extra money and have more FUN with my illustrations.
I studied scientific illustration in college and have worked with museums, national parks and publications across the country creating detailed & accurate illustrations. My scientific illustrations have also been featured on National Geographic, CNN, Slate.com, Newsweek, USA Today, and Discover.
My creations have evolved to be not just science themed, but much more whimsical and light hearted over the years. I realized my favorite illustration projects were always the ones that stirred people’s hearts and made them smile: from outer space cats to dinosaurs wearing neckties.
My shop has slowly grown from just prints of my artwork to include cards, stickers, and printed goods… with more items and designs being added regularly so check back to see my latest creations!
