Oxhip Studio - Natural Curiosities
Oxhip Studio comenzó en 2014 después de dar un acto de fe y dejar mi trabajo diario como ilustrador y diseñador gráfico en una oficina corporativa. ¡Pronto conseguí un trabajo pintando animales y ecosistemas para el Sistema de Parques Nacionales (el trabajo de mis sueños)! Mi tienda de etsy es una extensión de este salto y comenzó como una forma de ganar dinero extra y DIVERTIRSE más con mis ilustraciones.
Estudié ilustración científica en la universidad y he trabajado con museos, parques nacionales y publicaciones de todo el país creando ilustraciones detalladas y precisas. Mis ilustraciones científicas también han aparecido en National Geographic, CNN, Slate.com, Newsweek, USA Today y Discover.
Mis creaciones han evolucionado para tener no solo temas científicos, sino mucho más caprichosos y alegres a lo largo de los años. Me di cuenta de que mis proyectos de ilustración favoritos siempre eran aquellos que conmovían el corazón de las personas y les hacían sonreír: desde gatos del espacio exterior hasta dinosaurios con corbata.
Mi tienda ha crecido lentamente desde solo impresiones de mi obra de arte hasta incluir tarjetas, pegatinas y productos impresos... y se agregan más artículos y diseños regularmente, ¡así que vuelve a visitarme para ver mis últimas creaciones! Oxhip Studio began in 2014 after taking a leap of faith and leaving my day job as an illustrator and graphic designer in a corporate office. I soon landed a gig painting animals and ecosystems for the National Park System (my absolute dream job)! My etsy shop is an extension of this leap, and began as a way to make extra money and have more FUN with my illustrations.
I studied scientific illustration in college and have worked with museums, national parks and publications across the country creating detailed & accurate illustrations. My scientific illustrations have also been featured on National Geographic, CNN, Slate.com, Newsweek, USA Today, and Discover.
My creations have evolved to be not just science themed, but much more whimsical and light hearted over the years. I realized my favorite illustration projects were always the ones that stirred people’s hearts and made them smile: from outer space cats to dinosaurs wearing neckties.
My shop has slowly grown from just prints of my artwork to include cards, stickers, and printed goods… with more items and designs being added regularly so check back to see my latest creations!
