Aspiring maker of all things.
I bought a stained glass framing company in 2004 not knowing what I was getting myself into. I was looking for a business adventure out of college, mostly because there was not much I could do with a degree in Art and Archaeology. I was terrified of saws (even to this day am still pretty afraid of table saws). Realizing pretty quickly that I had a lot of scrap wood leftover that I couldn't use for framing stained glass, I knew I had to do something with my hoard. So, I started making cutting boards to give as gifts. That slowly evolved into selling the cutting boards for money. Which then expanded itself into other kitchen wares and functional art. I traveled around doing craft shows here and there, then all of a sudden I found out I was going to be a mom. Surprisingly, that's when I decided I wanted to start making toys. My business is constantly evolving and changing depending on what I feel like making at any particular moment.
I am always creating new items, so please keep checking in. If you have a project in mind, I make custom orders as well. Just message me with your requests.
My inspirations are all around me and I try to keep the creative juices flowing at all times. If you want to see more of what I do, please visit www.oaktreearts.com.
