I've been wearing vintage clothing from the time I had any say in the matter. Buying- okay, hoarding vintage has always been a passion.
The hunt is my favorite part- spotting the hand finished seams on a rack of mass- produced clothing. The perfectly broken- in leather satchel hanging among disposable sacks.
While not always in bullet bras and crinolines, I am always wearing several well made vintage pieces from any era, though my personal style favors the 1960s.
I was able to turn my passion for vintage into a career when I decided to leave a job I had never liked. Since 2001, I have sourced and sold vintage clothing, accessories and housewares on various venues, both in person and online. And I can't imagine doing anything else.
My faithful assistants include Sadie, a Lab, Boarder Collie mix who I found when en route to a second-hand store in 2003.
Her pal, George, was adopted in 2007 from the local SPCA.
His kitten, Captain Vladimir Sparklypants, is a rescue from Allentown, PA.
We live in Annapolis, MD in a 1961 ranch that was originally owned by the son of the owner of the local Coca- Cola distribution center. Until very recently, our fuse box had a "Coke machine" listing, though the machine was gone long before we moved in.
Before moving the the 'burbs, I lived in and around Washington, DC.

Other hobbies include quaffing elaborate gin- based cocktails, reading highly scientific (and considered by some, gross) writings about genetics and medical oddities, reading Sci- Fi, and watching really bad movies.
