Octopus Envy was created by me as a way to share art and create things for people that they could truly love and consider a personal treasure.

Growing up, I didn't have a lot of personal possessions for various reasons. I remember having a few items that were always with me and, from having to always narrow things down, I got to being really picky about what I chose to have to make sure it was always something I really wanted.

Looking back at those items, I always chose things that spoke to me on a very personal level or things that I felt had to have been made with me in mind somehow.

I want my art to mean something, but is it enough to have it only mean something to me? I love that feeling of a little piece of something that's all your own, something that feels like it was made just for you - it's that perfect. That feeling is what I strive for. So, whether you commission me or purchase a ready-made pendant from my shop, I hope that it means something to you, speaks to you, or feels like it was made just for you. Or someone you know. Because I believe that everyone deserves those kinds of things and it is that belief that created Octopus Envy.
