Hello, my name is Ashley. I am a mom, fur mom & wife. I have 2 beautiful girls ages 13 & 8. My 8 year old has autism. If you are familiar with autism, you basically know my life, it's chaotic to say the least. I am a stay at home mom who has always had the dream to own my own business & work from home. I love being home with my girls. My husband would rather me be home than to work & that's partially how my dream came about. My dream also came about because I can't stand to be ordered around by someone else.
I've always been passionate about creating & painting. I have made some adorable crafts over the years & I love to paint. The passion for painting comes from my father. He is a professional house painter he is also a very good artist. Being artistic runs in my family starting with my father & going down to my oldest daughter. Being artistic runs on my side of the family as well as my husbands side. So my daughter gets it honestly.
I started painting door hangers roughly since the Covid pandemic. My daughter with autism has a compromised immune system which forces us to stay home & safe from Covid. I am the biggest homebody now a days. Back to my door hangers, I started posting my door hangers on Facebook where I started getting requests & people asking me to make them one. I love doing it so much it doesn't feel like work or a job. I think the most challenging part of this journey thus far is creating this Etsy shop. Making sure I get everything right. I am still learning. I decided to start this Etsy shop because of the amount of orders I was getting just on my personal Facebook page. I then created a Facebook page for my door hangers & now my first ever Etsy shop. I am so excited to start this journey. One step closer to making my dreams come true of being a business owner working from home.
