We are: A father-daughter team united in originating handcrafted designs.
Since 1975, Sam Krantz has handcrafted heirloom custom furniture. Each piece is formed from local hardwoods dried in his Zoarville shop and begins to evolve utilizing his collection of antique hand tools. Sam's ability to craft each piece to suit with regard to size, style, and tone showcases his many talents. Appreciating the appearance and simplicity of such fine pieces is an art in itself.
Each piece is individually crafted by hand. We use select North American hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, ash and beech. Our light, ornamental ironwork is completed using our coal or gas forges. All materials used to construct our pieces are made in the USA!
The methods we employ for design and assembly have been time tested since colonial America.
Don't see exactly what you're looking for or have a vision for a piece that perfectly compliments your home? We love working with customers to design something amazing. To see more photos of custom orders and options, see our gallery on the Ohio Wood and Iron Works Instagram page.

5 out of 5 starsSaw something very similar at the New York Botanical Garden. These are perfect for my large peony bushes. So much better than anything you can purchase in garden centers. I am happy I made the investment, will use the smaller ones to keep my yarrow plants upright ! Can’t wait to see everything in bloom in the next several weeks !!!

5 out of 5 starsQuality peony stakes are difficult to find. While these are more expensive, they are worth the price. Additionally, they are easy to install.

Maddy
Paw Of Approval
Woof! I'm Maddy, the shop dog. I'm a chocolate lab who loves going to work everyday! Dad gave me a recliner to relax in when I'm not giving products the "paw stamp of approval" and I make sure he takes snack breaks throughout the day.
