Welcome to OldAndAbstract - Abstraction on the Way to Naturalism. When I moved to Philadelphia many years ago I was an abstract artist, pretty much dedicated to hard edge shapes and flat picture planes. But almost as soon as I got my own studio here my work became more organic. Eventually space and depth replaced shallow space. I spent about 20 years working in this style.

Today I'm a strictly naturalistic artist and my current work can be found at artbirdsnature - Prints and Art From Nature. This store is a place to show and sell my older abstract work, work that I'm still very fond of. It was a step along the way. Most likely I'll never go back to abstraction but as an artist I know better than to tie myself down too firmly as to what I may or may not do.

I hope you enjoy this work. I remain very fond of it but it was time to move on.
