Hi!
These last 10 years of selling on Etsy have made this little families dreams become a reality. We cannot wait to see what the next year holds for us and are so grateful for our customers. Behind our small business is a family of 5, plus 1 mini dachshund and a bernedoodle that are creative, patient, faithful, and have a fierce love for one another and our patriotic freedoms.
I was "once" an art teacher before our three kids arrived. My husband does a lot of traveling with the military so when he's home we enjoy building and creating unique creations for our home, family, and friends together.
We started Once Wood with items like our step stools, growth rulers, and bow holders that our children needed and I did not see the style and quality I was wanting. We then moved to exterior cedar shutters and address signs that we needed for our home. It was brought to my attention that maybe we should think about sharing our talents with more people through Etsy so we opened shop online in 2015. We named our shop Once Wood because our creations start with just a simple piece of wood and are transformed into something that can be cherished for years to come through design, craftsmanship, and quality.
We are both former graduates from our local universities' art department and currently part of our USAFR unit so we take a lot of pride and attention to details in what we create and send to you. Our sense of style is rustic, eclectic, and elegant so almost anyone can find a space for our "once wood" creations. With a growing family our items grow with us so check back frequently for new and exciting items like our most recent creation "Address signs and cedar house numbers” stained and designed to match the style and quality of our custom cedar shutters.
