In December of 2007, my husband (fiancé at the time) who was serving in the military, told me he was going to deploy to Iraq in just a few months. The worst part -he was going to be gone for 15 months! We wanted to get married before he left, and I wanted him to have some really beautiful memories to look back on while stuck in that desert land.. so I set out to create the best wedding I possibly could on a very small budget. VERY small! I created the invitations along with every other party essential needed for our wedding. That was when I discovered my passion for design.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of creating countless birthday, wedding, and other party invites and essentials for several friends and family. They urged me to open a Etsy shop.. so here I am!
My shop One Sparrow Designs in reference to the bible verse:
"Are not five SPARROWS sold for two pennies? And not ONE of them is forgotten before God." Luke 12:6
This verse resonates in my life so much that I wanted it to be a constant reminder of God's unfailing love for us. Not a single person is ever forgotten by God and He loves us unconditionally!

Where should I print?
After you download the design, you can easily print from home or send it to a local shop (Staples, Fedex, etc) to have it printed.

What type of paper do you recommend for printing?
I believe it's best to print on thick card stock, so I recommend using 100lb card stock or more. If you decide to print at home, you can find this type of card stock at any local craft store (Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc).
If you decide to print with a local source, Staples offers a really nice invitation paper you can print on (12pt matte). It has a slight sheen to it and colors really pop. It does cost a little more than the regular 110lb card stock, but I believe it's worth it.
Which should I use, PDF or JPEG?
It's your own personal preference. A PDF is best for DIY printing at home or through a printing source. A JPEG is best for for sharing quickly and easily via text, social media or email.
