Dear customers! In this shop I offer 3 types of products:
1. Designer items made from scratch, where I draw and describe every stitch. The whole pattern is based on the official designer photos. I love cracking stitches from photos and I always welcome suggestions for designer patterns - but photos of designer items should be of high resolution (so I can see the stitches) and all sides of the garment should be available (so I can claim the same item can be repeated). 2. Improved descriptions from patterns published in NON-ENGLISH crochet magazines, where I correct all possible mistakes, recalculate the pattern for many sizes, describe rows. Here most descriptions were translated from German/Russian/French magazines into English. I redraw all diagrams if they are of poor quality so you receive a perfect product. Of course all measurements are provided in inches and centimeters to make your crocheting more enjoyable. Every graphic file has explanations of crochet symbols in English (US and UK), German and Danish (my customers are mostly from these countries).
3. Just translations without describing rows or changing diagrams (if graphs are fine). Let me mention that Europeans use diagrams and hate written descriptions explaining where to place every double crochet or treble - such texts are lengthy and do not offer a great visualization of intricate patterns. Therefore all descriptions are provided with the diagrams and explanations on how many stitches to start with, increase, decrease in any particular row. If you have difficulties in reading graphs, I explain diagrams in words upon request (please contact me before purchase). Many items are already provided with written explanations of all diagrams (because other customers asked for that) - please read each listing carefully to see what I offer. Usually I correct mistakes if I notice them during translation (I always check the amount of stitches and crochet my own gauges). However, we know that "to err is human". Here is an example of the reputable crochet journal: www.crochetmagazine.com/revisions.php They write: "if you are having difficulty with project instructions, please check for any edits or revisions to the instructions... If there are no revisions for the project you'll be provided a link to complete a form requesting help from our pattern services department". Here is another example from a famous Vogue knitting: http://www.vogueknitting.com/pattern_help/corrections.aspx So, there can be revisions even in the publications created by a TEAM of editors, crocheters, knitters etc. I'm only one person :). But as an experienced crocheter I'm always ready to help with the offered crochet descriptions. I think it's a wonderful idea if somebody brings European instructions to the English-speaking world and explains how to crochet a catwalk dress or tunic. I doubt if you can find any of the offered products nicely explained in English. Enjoy crocheting!
