Having previously bought and loved the print, I am absolutely delighted to now have the original drawing. In person it has a wonderful immediacy: the charcoal surface, tonal depth, and visible movement of the hand give the figure even greater presence and emotional force. It is tender, atmospheric, quietly vulnerable, and deeply rewarding to look at closely. The piece was carefully packed and arrived safely, and Gabriel’s communication throughout was thoughtful, generous, and much appreciated. A very special work from a gifted artist.

This set of five limited-edition prints is beautifully produced on high-quality paper and reproduces the artist's original charcoal work exceptionally well. Apart from Gabriel's evident skill as an artist, there is a real sense of fleeting moments captured here; a bittersweet melancholy runs through the images and holds the viewer's attention. The images stay with you long after you've looked at them. The set was very reasonably priced, carefully packed, and dispatched promptly. Communication throughout was excellent, and Gabriel was a pleasure to deal with. I am delighted with the prints and look forward to purchasing from this talented artist again in the future.

I am immeasurably thrilled by Gabriel’s painting. He has captured a moment still in pale, any-time-of-day colours, a lost-in-thought pause vibrating between fear of life and reverie. There is a great deal of philosophy and depth here, but also, remarkably, a simplicity. The subject might be a terrified intellectual, a passionate poet, an overdrawn student, or simply a boy troubled by something that hardly merits troubling over. It is the kind of moment one can only hope to have lived, let alone to hope to have been as beautiful within it. I’m going on and on. I hope Gabriel keeps painting until the end of time. On I go, on I go, on I go.

This painting is even more beautiful in person! I was worried that I might now have it before Christmas but received it in plenty of time. The gift was for my father, a huge Harry Potter fan! He has a photo of himself in a very similar scene from when he visited Scotland and when he opened this on Christmas, he was near tears! Thank you so much fo the beautiful gift!
