Origin Mexico is much more than a brand. It is a dream 20+ years in the making and in many ways, it's an opportunity to honor the the stories of my family and the artisan women in Mexico.
I was born in California and grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. Being a first generation Mexican- American, I grew up watching how my grandparents pursued their dreams, always persevering despite life’s challenges. They both came from very humble beginnings and despite not having resources or an education, they persevered. That taught me to own my history, and the story of my family and to be very proud of it. After 20 years in the corporate world, I felt my path was not honoring the legacy created by my family and it was at this point that I decided to pivot and pursue my goal of helping create a positive impact in the lives of many artisan women in Mexico.
Honoring the path carved by my grandparents and mother is very important to me and this played a crucial part in why Origin Mexico was created. The sacrifices made by my family allowed me opportunities that I am very grateful for, and my goal is to in a small way, help other women create these opportunities for their families.
The stories of the artisan women I work with resonate with me because we all share a common goal: to create a better life for our children and families.

Every brand starts with a dream and purpose. Ours was born out of immense gratitude and desire to give back to our artisan communities through opportunities that will help Mexican artisan women achieve their entrepreneurship dreams. The artisans we collaborate with our not just our partners, but also our friends. We have seen them flourish while keeping Mexican traditions alive and sharing embroidery techniques with their children and grandchildren.
