Handmade Luxury

I believe clothes and accessories should make you feel beautiful, comfortable, unique, and confident. Ornute is handmade with love by yours truly in MN. From the pattern making, fabric sourcing, sewing, and hand knitting, I do it all!

Ornute really began as I was a little kid drawing fashions on my paper dolls and reading Vogue. I still have my barbie inspired drawings which are pretty fun to look at now! I have a degree in fashion design, and interned at Daryl K before starting Ornute, which has sold in boutiques, and is now exclusively on Etsy. In addition to working on Ornute I also teach sewing.

I hope my handmade items will be loved for many years to come.

* I only ship to the address listed by Etsy. Please make sure that the address listed on Etsy is correct.

PRIMARY METHOD OF SHIPPING
All orders are shipped via United States Postal Service. Orders shipped in the US will have tracking. You will be contacted with this number so you and I can track your item(s) to ensure a safe delivery.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
International orders are shipped USPS international mail.

PACKAGE NOT RECEIVED INTERNATIONAL: We are not responsible for any errors made by the Post Office, lost, or stolen packages. Before contacting us please check the following:

1: Check that someone else in the house hasn't taken it in for you, or any other family members or friends, it is not unheard of that someone else in the household will pick up the package and put it somewhere out of plain sight.
2: Check that it hasn't been left with one of your neighbors.
3. Check with your local post office

If your package has not been received within 6 weeks for international, please contact your local post office and us via Etsy convo or e-mail at ornute31{at} gmail.com. PLEASE BE AWARE: per USPS policy an international package can take up to 90 days to receive. A report can not be filled with USPS until after 90 days.

CUSTOMS/ DUTIES
I do not ship as "gift" 'cause it's a bit illegal. Duties, customs fees, or any other associated fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please learn your counties customs information including any fees that may be incurred on your end before purchasing. This information can be found at your local post office or on the web. Every county varies.

SHIPPING UPGRADES
If you would like to add insurance (covers if it's lost or damaged by the post office),or choose a faster form of shipping to your order, or signature confirmation, etc., please contact us prior to purchasing via convo or email at ornute31 {at} gmail.com.

ITEM SAYS DELIVERED BUT YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT (USA)
We are not responsible for any errors made by the Post Office, lost, or stolen packages. Please allow sufficient time for delivery. Please note that deliveries might be scanned as delivered hours before being actually delivered (some carriers will do this to save on time). Before contacting us please check ALL of the following:

1: Check that someone else in the house hasn't taken it in for you, or any other family members or friends, it is not unheard of that someone else in the household will pick up the package and put it somewhere out of plain sight.
2: Check that it hasn't been left with one of your neighbors.
3: Check that an attempted delivery note hasn't been left.
4: Check with your local postal sorting office that it's not there waiting to be collected.
5. Ask the delivery postal worker where he/she left the package.
6. Call your local post office they can tell you if it was correctly delivered via geo tech used in tracking (if delivered in the US tracking is provided your tracking number is all you need). For US deliveries, In order to obtain info on a package sent the sending post office (the post office I use) has no info, only the receiving post office (your local post office) has any info on the package.

If the package cannot be located after you have contacted your local post office, please complete the following steps.
1. file a police report with your local police department
2. report the theft to the Postal Inspection Service by
a. calling 877.876.2455 between 8:00am-4:30pm – select option #3
b. completing the “Mail Theft - Mail Not Received Complaint Form” online at postalinspectors.uspis.gov/radDocs/Mail_Theft_Complaints.pdf v

STOLEN PACKAGES
We ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR STOLEN PACKAGES, please take the following steps to prevent stolen packages:

. Arrange with your local post office for your local carrier to knock on your door when dropping off a package and if you do not answer for them to leave the package at your local post office and to leave a note telling you that it is there.
. Check the tracking on your package and make sure you are home on the day it is suppose to be delivered.
. Get a PO box
. Install a camera where packages are dropped at least if someone does steal a package you will know that it was in fact stole and they will more likely by found by the police.
. Purchase signature confirmation, simply convo us before purchasing to arrange
. Have your packages sent to your work, or ship to a trusted friend, family member, or neighbor if you will not be home during the day
. If you will be out of town put your mail on hold

RETURNED MAIL: If a package is returned because the address provided to Etsy was not correct, we are not responsible for re-shipping. We will contact the buyer for the correct address, and the buyer will need to repay shipping and handling before we will send the package again.

UNCLAIMED PACKAGES
If the Buyer is not home to receive the ordered item(s), the USPS may leave a notice that the package needs to be picked up or they may leave the package.

If a notice is left and Buyer does not pick up the package, it will be returned to Seller no sooner than 21 days and no later than 180 days. During that time, Seller will make three attempts to reach the Buyer via email and/or convo.

If the package is returned to Seller and Buyer wants the item reshipped, the Buyer will be responsible for the extra shipping charges before the item is reshipped.

If the package is returned to Seller with no communication from Buyer, Seller will issue a refund minus the shipping costs.
Refunds and Exchanges
REFUNDS
All sales are final. I don't accept returns or exchanges, but please contact me if you have any problems with your order. I am a small shop and please know that I keep my prices low and affordable so that everyone can enjoy handmade!

ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS:
We do our best to ship items as quickly as possible and because of this the window for changing orders or cancelling orders is very short. If your cancellation or order change request is seen prior to us processing your order, we are happy to cancel your order for a full refund, or change it, but once it has begun processing we are no longer able to cancel your order or to make any changes.

If you have ANY questions or concerns about an item, please ask BEFORE you buy.
Additional policies and FAQs
COUPON CODES:
Coupon codes MUST be entered into the "Apply coupon code" link at check out - for us to validate it. Coupon codes entered in the NOTES section cannot be applied. Only one code can be used on a purchase. Coupon codes cannot be applied to purchases made before the discount was offered, nor can they be retroactively applied after an order has been placed. Free Shipping is not automatically applied, and can only be done so with a coupon code and cannot be combined with other offers. Shipping discount codes do not apply to orders outside of the US or to any wholesale orders.

FAQ
Can I send part of my order to a different address?
We only ship to the shipping address provided at checkout and cannot ship to multiple addresses. Please consider placing multiple orders should you want your items shipped to various locations.

Can I use more than one coupon code?
Only one coupon code is valid per order. Free shipping is never automatically applied. Unfortunately we cannot retroactively apply coupons to your order, nor can we apply them to orders made before the discount was offered.

Where do I enter the coupon code?
The coupon code box is located under the grand total at checkout. We have found that some internet browsers do not display our coupon code box. If this is the case, please try using another browser. Please remember that we cannot retroactively apply coupon codes for you.

I entered a coupon code and it didn't apply, why not?
There are several reasons why a coupon code may not apply. Possible reasons are: it is a one time use code that has already been used, the code has expired, there is a minimum purchase amount required that has not been met, or the code entered is not valid on purchases shipped outside of the U.S. Please note: shipping discount codes can only be applied to U.S. orders and cannot be applied to any wholesale orders. If you are trying to enter a code that does not apply and does not fall under one of these exceptions, please contact us via Etsy for assistance.

What if I did not receive my package and tracking shows as delivered?
See above check list under Shipping Policies. ITEM SAYS DELIVERED BUT YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT (USA) and Contact USPS for assistance. Ornute is not responsible for mail that is lost by the Post Office, or stolen mail.

We do not gift wrap, but our items come packaged in tissue paper with a ribbon and would be really cute placed in a gift bag as it comes packaged.
