Full-time Librarian's Artistic Endeavors.
In 2013, a dear friend and fellow librarian asked if I could make paper flowers for her wedding to a fellow librarian. I had never done such a thing before, but I figured, "Why not!" and "Oooh, that might be fun!" Her bouquet took forever because I found very little instruction on how to make the kind of paper flowers I wanted on the Internet. As such I came up with my own designs, construction, and use of materials. The result surprised and astonished me. It was breathtaking!
For several years I was a floral designer and wedding coordinator. I adore fresh flowers, however, after that first paper flower bouquet I don't have the desire to ever go back to fresh flower design. If I ever get married again, I want my hand-painted paper flowers.
I not only play with paper, but I also paint, make silly 3D felt objects, altered book sculptures, metalwork, and just about anything else which takes my fancy. I am a hyperly creative person who is always coming up with something new to try. As such, I have no idea what this store will contain. Today it might be wedding bouquets, tomorrow it might have felted birds. Stay tuned. I doubt it will ever be too dull. :-)
