Hello, and thank you for your interest in my shop. My name is Jonah, and I'm the proud owner and solo artisan behind Overboard Ring Designs. I'd like to share a bit about my journey and how this store came to be.
My love for art began in my childhood at the Boy's Club (now the Boy's and Girl's Club). I spent countless hours in the art room, always eager to create something new. However, as I grew older, I faced a difficult battle with addiction, losing touch with my passion for art.
In 2013, I embarked on my recovery journey. It was during this time that I rediscovered my creative spirit. Making jewelry became a form of meditation, calming my mind and rekindling my love for art. Initially, I crafted bracelets and necklaces for friends and family, finding joy in giving them away.
The turning point came during the pandemic in 2020. A YouTube video about ring-making captivated me, and I dove in headfirst. My intense enthusiasm for this new craft led me to name my store Overboard Ring Designs, reflecting both my dedication and the biblical story of Jonah going overboard.
Since then, I've created over countless unique ring designs. What started as a hobby has blossomed into a thriving business, and in December 2022, I became a full-time ring maker. Each piece I create is a testament to the hard work and resilience that helped me overcome addiction.
