The Professional Standard

My construction philosophy is rooted in 37 years of high-consequence aviation. As a former F-16 fighter pilot and commercial airline captain, I operate on a "zero-margin" requirement. Whether negotiating the largest pilot contract in history or facilitating a major carrier merger, my career was built on technical precision, absolute integrity, and a refusal to bypass the checklist.
I do not build for mass consumption. I build for structural and functional longevity.

Technical Specifications of the Work:

* Classical Guitars: Constructed using traditional fan-bracing and hand-graduated soundboards. Every component is measured for acoustic resonance and mechanical tension. I apply the same 0.01% tolerance to a guitar’s action as I did to a flight instrument.

* Traditional Self-Bows: Specializing in the physics of the short-bow, including Comanche-style designs. These are single-stave bows crafted to respect the organic memory and tension of the wood, resulting in high-performance functional history.

* Forged Metalwork: Utilizing a custom two-burner gas forge and high-carbon tool steels. Every piece is normalized and heat-treated to specific Rockwell standards to ensure grain refinement and edge retention.

The Origins
Raised on a dairy farm in Upstate New York and now operating from my own acreage in South Carolina, my work ethic is defined by the "Barn Standard": the job is not finished until the equipment is stowed and the work is right.
