I have been designing and creating handmade leather bags and leather goods since 2009. In 2015, I added hand-painted leather bags and accessories to my work. However, as the demand for plain leather goods was stronger, I eventually took a break from the hand-painted pieces I enjoyed creating the most.

Today, my approach to making is a little different.

Rather than producing more and more pieces, I have chosen to dedicate more time to the designs I truly enjoy creating—to making fewer pieces with greater attention to detail, patience, and craftsmanship. After some time away, I have returned to hand-painted leather goods with renewed inspiration and excitement.

I work from my studio in Yeldeğirmeni, Kadıköy, one of Istanbul’s most creative neighborhoods, known for its vibrant street art and independent creative community. This is where I design and make my pieces, often working by hand with traditional tools. Visitors to my studio can experience not only the finished pieces, but also witness the time, patience, and craftsmanship that go into creating them.

Natural materials and handmade craftsmanship have always been at the heart of my work. I carefully select the materials I use, with a strong consideration for human well-being and the environment, and I enjoy bringing traditional making techniques together with a contemporary design approach.

Every piece in the Pagur Design collections is my own original design and is handmade by me. I find inspiration in traditional motifs from different cultures, modern urban life, nature, and the small details I encounter around me. I want every piece to have its own character and story.

I have been creating under my registered Pagur Design brand for more than ten years.

Each piece I make is not simply part of a mass-produced collection. It is created slowly, with time, care, craftsmanship, and love.

To me, a handmade piece is more than an object. It carries the time, story, creativity, and spirit of the person who designed and made it.
