From passion to profession.
I do not remember when my love of crafting started, in college where I studied product design, in high school where I made and sold amigurumi (crocheted dolls) at school craft fairs, in elementary school where I designed beading bracelet and gave to my friends, or in my kindergarten year where I attempted to use a cutter and ended up hurting myself (apparently did not stop me!). All in all, my passion for crafting has always been there. In the past 20 years, I have tried origami, beading, sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, stamping, glass blowing, pottery, paper mache, oil painting, woodworking, etc. (yes, all my income went to all those supplies...LOL)
Having an Etsy shop has been one of my dreams for many years, but life was busy. From starting out my career, went back to school for a graduate degree in design, got married, and had a baby who is now my biggest inspiration and makes me finally opening this shop.
I enjoy every step of the process of creating our products, from dreaming it up to making it with my hands. NANASUKO was started in a detached garage of our family first home with only myself doing everything. Today, we are in commercial office space and proud to create jobs. It is a true blessing to be surrounded with people who have the same passion for handcraft (and, well...superheroes). Our office is filled with ideas and laughters. On the other hand, we also work hard to ensure every item we listed here is high quality, original, and what we will not hesitate to use for our own special occasions. We are grateful for allowing us to be a part of your life events and we will do our best to craft every piece for your everlasting memories.
