How do you make your tutus?
PickleBug tutus are HANDMADE/SEWN by me. They are not mass-produced tutus, and they are not tied. They are made with 100% nylon tulle (made in the USA). Each piece of tulle is hand-cut. I use a one-of-a-kind sewing technique that allows me to get tons of tulle on the waist band. There are no knots to take up space and come untied or twist. There are no cheap crochet bands....ever. No loosely sewn tulle either. Just beautiful, high-quality tutus that last!
Are your bodysuits true to size, large, or small?
I use Carter's brand bodysuits for any bodysuit with text/design/font. Sizing is as follows:
Newborn = 5 to 8 lbs.
3 mos = 8 to 12.5 lbs.
6 mos = 12.5 to 16.5 lbs.
9 mos = 16.5 to 20.5 lbs.
12 mos = 20.5 to 24.5 lbs.
18 mos = 24.5 to 27.5 lbs.
24 mos = 27.5 to 30 lbs.
What kind of tulle do you use?
PickleBug tutus are made from 100% nylon tulle that is made in the USA. No cheap, tissue-like polyester...ever. No flammable tulle!
How do I clean my tutu?
Tutus may be hand-washed by running water over the tulle and combing through it gently with your fingers. Many buyers find a shower works well for this. Cake and icing comes out best after it has dried. After thoroughly rinsing tutu, hang it to dry. Fluff dry tulle with fingers. NEVER iron or machine dry tutus.

9 mos, 12 to 18 mos = 8 inches long

Can I get my order in time for a birthday or other special occasion?
Please check the shop announcement AND the listing for current processing time. All of my items are made to order...not stock items. Please DO NOT order and expect something to be finished prior to the maximum current processing time unless you purchase a rush option. Sometimes, orders are shipped based on your provided event date rather than the estimated Etsy shipping date.
I ordered "rush", so why is my item showing a scheduled ship date that does not reflect that?
The scheduled ship date is set according to my current processing time. If you ordered rush, your order will be shipped accordingly, and you can just ignore the scheduled shipping date.
Will you ship to a different address than what is on file with Etsy?
I will consider shipping to a different address on a case by case basis. Please understand, however, that I cannot guarantee shipping to any address that is not registered with your Etsy account.
I provided an event date, does that mean I will receive my item in time for the event?
Unless you have made arrangements with me BEFORE purchasing and/or purchase a rush option, you cannot count on your order shipping before the maximum processing time is up. Please plan accordingly. Simply entering a note with your event date does not guarantee your order will arrive before or on that date. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact me prior to purchase (or purchase the correct rush option when available) to ask about early shipping.
What if my scheduled ship date falls on a US holiday when there is no US postal service?
Your order will be shipped the following day if it is not shipped before the holiday.
