Each rose tells a story
First off, I want to dedicate this shop to the loving memory of our first born son, Andrew Kihei White.
Since I've become a mother, my priorities have changed. My family comes first above anything else and that meant making the decision to become a stay-at-home mom. The time I spend with them is priceless. That's why I am grateful to have the opportunity to open my own shop and to be able to work from home where I can base my schedule around my family's needs. I can also do what I love. Since I was a child, I enjoyed doing arts and crafts because it allowed me to be as creative as I wanted to be. As I became an adult, I had more and more responsibilities and it was no longer a part of my life. Life is too short not to be doing what you love. Moving forward in honor of my first born son, I'm not going to take for granted the talent I've been given and I'm going to use it as a way to contribute to my family.
My main focus with my shop is creating beautiful roses out of book pages. As each person has their own story to tell, so do my roses. The first bouquet of flowers I ever received was a dozen roses from my first boyfriend who is now my husband. Roses have become one of my favorite flowers and is the inspiration behind my shop.
As beautiful as a real rose is, the joy that it brings is short lived. I find using book pages not only gives them a new life, but an ever lasting one. Being able create these roses gives me a sense of joy too. I hope you can enjoy these flowers as much as I enjoy making them.
