Frequently asked questions

What is your typical production time for orders?

All items are handmade-to-order by just my husband and I in our home workshop.

Stained bowl stands/feeders are typically ready to ship in about 10-12 BUSINESS days (excludes weekends and holidays). Unstained bowl stands are typically ready to ship a few days sooner. Dog beds are typically produced within about 3 weeks.

Custom orders often require longer production timelines. Timing for custom orders is quoted on an individual basis.

If you need your item within a certain time frame/by a specific date, please message us before ordering to see if we can meet your requested timeline.

How long will it take for my order to arrive once it has been shipped?

The time the package is in transit once we ship it out will vary depending on how far the package is traveling, but takes on average between 3-7 days. Shipping times are out of our control once we hand the package over to the carrier. We appreciate your understanding.

Do you accept orders/ship everywhere?

Unfortunately at this time we only ship orders to the 48 contiguous United States. International orders are not currently accepted. Orders shipping to Hawaii or Alaska may require additional shipping charges.

Do bowls come with the feeders?

Yes. 2 quart stainless steel bowls are included with each feeder.

If you have a very small dog, you may find our standard size bowls to be a bit large for your little furbaby. Please contact us if you'd like us to make a custom feeder with smaller bowls (1quart) for your pup.

Where do I tell you what text I'd like on my feeder?

Please include your personalization request details in the space provided in the listing or in the order notes to seller at checkout.

Please be as specific as possible to ensure we understand your request. Please also verify the spelling is correct in your notes.

*If no notes are included, we will assume no text is desired.*

If no preferred font style is specified, we will default to font #10

We also assume you'd like a paw print next to the text unless you request a different image (ex: dog bone) or specifically ask not to include a paw print.

Can I get multiple names on a feeder?

We are happy to add any text that will fit on the feeder for you.

Multiple names may not fit on a feeder if the names are long.

Only one name typically fits on a single bowl stand (and only shorter names because the space on the front of the stand is small).

Two names can often fit on the double or triple bowl stands, but it depends on the length of the names.

If you're unsure if your desired personalization will fit on the size feeder you are considering purchasing, please send us a message and we can provide guidance.

I have small dogs (e.g. yorkie), do you make smaller feeders?

We can custom make feeders for smaller dogs upon request if you think your dog is too small for the 2quart size bowls we use in our standard size feeders. We can make our single, double, or triple bowl feeders to fit 1 quart bowls.

Please note custom feeders will take us longer to make than our standard size feeders as all pieces must be custom cut, whereas we have pre-cut pieces and jigs built to help us produce standard size feeders more expediently.

What size feeder would you recommend for my ?

Unfortunately we are unable to recommend what height feeder to order for a particular breed of dog (even if the dog's weight is provided) as the dogs' heights can still vary within the same breed (and weight distributed differently). We suggest measuring your dog to ensure you purchase the ideal height for your furbaby.

here are two methods to measure what height your dog needs:
1. measure from your dog's shoulders (under his chin) to the floor
2. hold your dog's existing bowl in front him near a wall and let him eat/drink from it. make a small pencil mark on your wall at the height you were holding the bowl at that seemed comfortable for your dog. measure from the mark on the wall to the floor. (i found this method easier myself)

What are the dimensions of the bowls that come with the feeder?

We include stainless steel 2 quart size bowls - the single feeders, double and triple bowl feeders (and all heights of each) use the same bowls. They are 8" in diameter measuring across the top of the bowl, and about 3 1/4" deep.

If you have a small dog, the bowls that come with the standard feeders may be larger than desired. Please message us if you have a small dog and would like us to make a custom feeder with smaller size bowls for you.

What is the diameter of the holes in the feeders for bowls to go in?

The holes are approx 7 3/4" in diameter. The bowls included with the feeder are 8" in diameter so they can hang by the lip around the top of the bowl when sitting in the hole.

If you plan to try to use your own bowl for our feeder, you'll want to make sure there is a lip around the top rim of the bowl so it can hang on the slats across the top while sitting in the hole. We cannot guarantee any existing bowls will fit in our feeders, which is why we include bowls. However, some customers have found their existing bowls do in fact fit.
