I learned to sew from my mother when I was little. She and both of my grandmothers are/were great sewists, and inspirations to me. The idea of taking fabric and making it into something more useful or beautiful was fascinating.

Since I have had kids of my own, my desire for cute, perhaps odd, toys led me to experiment with patterns and create some things I wouldn't be able to buy elsewhere.

I see in them the same excitement I felt as a kid when my mother would create things. My son (5) watches each step, and tries to guess what I'm piecing together, and my daughter (10 months) screeches in delight when I stitch a happy little face on to a merbaby. It's so heartwarming to bring cuteness into others' lives as well.

The craft room is my happy place. I take my very rare free moments to create the cutest possible things with much love and attention to detail.
