Hey Beautiful Butterflies!! My name is Bianca! Growing up, I've always had a love for arts and crafts and DIYs. For fun, I'd color in coloring books, painted, created anything my imagination came up with. I was in my own world, my escape. Since the passing of my grandmother I've always had a passion and love for butterflies. They are truly my spirit animal. I've always told myself she would re-appear and be there in spirit. Any sign of them would bring a sence of hope, love, security, and strength. I would find myself drawing them on paper or making cut-outs and posting them on my walls. Hence the name, "PaperButterflies“.
Fast forward, two days before my 30th birthday I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer which later progressed to Stage 2A. I knew I needed an outlet to keep my mind busy and tap into my love or escape from the stress and anxieties of this horrible disease. I've always created for fun and never took it seriously until a best friend of mine recently encouraged me to open my own shop. So I did. Going forward and knowing my Chemotherapy treatments were soon to come, I wanted a reminder of who I am and of strength and beauty to get me through the not so good days. I wanted to remind myself and the world that no matter what beauty comes from within. If you are a fighter like myself or survivor or know anyone who needs that little extra glitter of hope to turn their day around I hope you too find strength and love with these designs.
