Note from shop owner Due to a fire in my apartment building, I'm going to have to suspend everything at PaperCaperz. While my dog and I got out safely, we've been unable to return home in more than a month, and there's no ETA on when we will be able to. Unfortunately, that also means I'm not able to work currently, or take any orders. I apologize for anyone I had to disappoint by turning down their orders. Hopefully I'll be back at this in the new year.

Hand cut paper and silhouette art, specializing video games and fairy tales.

It all started with some bare walls in my apartment.

I had moved into a new place, but didn't really have a lot of money to decorate. So, I got creative, and started making silhouette pieces of my favorite video game characters - Mario, Link, Sephiroth, and Scorpion were soon filling the empty spaces. Although I'd dabbled in watercolors for a few years, I really found paper cutting and collage to be fun in a way that painting had never been.

Soon after, friends started requesting their own pieces. This led to some fairy tale art, with requests for both 'Disney' princesses, as well as Grimm's Fairy Tale inspired pieces. Most recently, I've started work on a series inspired by Kelly Sue Deconnick's 'Pretty Deadly'. I'm still most inspired by video games, and frequently find myself working on sketches of iconic characters, looking for news ways to play with their silhouettes.

Frequently asked questions
Holy Crap, why is shipping to Europe so expensive?

All packages sent outside North America are delivered via registered mail. This is pretty expensive, averaging $25 for Europe, and $45 to Australia. However, I think it's worth it, to ensure your order gets to you in a timely fashion.
