¡Hola a todos!
Soy Rafaela y estoy muy contenta de que estés aquí y te tomes el tiempo de leer un poco sobre mí.
¡LA PAPELERÍA siempre ha sido una de mis pasiones! Siempre fui esa chica que compra todas las agendas, pegatinas, álbumes de recortes y demás que puede, incluso si "no necesita otro cuaderno", como decía mi madre (y ahora mi marido).
¿Y sabes qué? Yo también he sido un gran experto en tecnología. Puede parecer una combinación extraña, ¿no? Pero estos dos mundos han sido mis pasatiempos favoritos desde siempre, especialmente durante mis días universitarios, cuando eran una actividad reconfortante en esos momentos de SOLEDAD lejos de casa.
A medida que mi vida se fue haciendo más ajetreada a los 20 años, me costó encontrar tiempo para dedicarme a estas pasiones separadas. No fue hasta que descubrí las agendas y las pegatinas digitales en ETSY que encontré la combinación perfecta de mis intereses. ¡Fue como si hubiera encontrado exactamente lo que estaba buscando!
Entonces comencé a ser creativa en la computadora y terminé proporcionando invitaciones, calcomanías, juegos de fiesta y mucho más para las bodas, baby showers y fiestas de cumpleaños de mis amigos. ¡Incluso diseñé TODO MI ARTÍCULO DE PAPELERÍA PARA LA BODA, que recibió muchos elogios, si se me permite decirlo!
En 2019, mi esposo y yo nos mudamos de Brasil a Canadá y, cuatro meses después, la pandemia de COVID-19 nos golpeó a todos... Trajo muchos desafíos a mi búsqueda de trabajo, a mi familia visitándome desde el extranjero y a mantener mi cordura mientras estaba en un estricto confinamiento canadiense.
En mayo de 2020, convertí mi hobby en mi HERRAMIENTA PARA MANEJAR LA ANSIEDAD y, por qué no, tal vez en una fuente de ingresos. Paper Dot Design nació durante esos tiempos inciertos. Al principio, la DUDA EN MÍ MISMO me frenaba. Y, mientras aún estaba descubriendo esta plataforma, finalmente conseguí un trabajo de tiempo completo, y luego otro - ¡sí, trabajé en 2 TRABAJOS DE TIEMPO COMPLETO durante 2 años! -, no podía invertir tiempo en este bebé.
Sin embargo, esta tienda es la niña de mis ojos. ¡Esto es lo que realmente me encanta hacer! Así que, aquí estoy, unos años después, después de mucha capacitación para desarrollar nuevas habilidades, mucha investigación de mercado y tutoría, orgullosa de decir que PAPER DOT DESIGN llegó para quedarse.

Hello everyone!
I’m Rafaela and I am so glad that you are here and taking the time to read a bit about me.
STATIONERY has always been a passion of mine! I was always that girl who buys all the planners, stickers, scrapbooks - and more - that she can, even if she does "not need another notebook", as my mom - and now my husband - used to say.
And you know what? I have always been TECH-SAVVY too. It might seem like an odd pairing, eh? But these two worlds have been my cherished hobbies forever, especially during my college days when they were a comforting activity in those LONELY moments away from home.
As life got busier in my 20s, I struggled to have time to dedicate to these separate passions. It wasn’t until I discovered digital planners and digital stickers on ETSY that I found the perfect blend of my interests. It was as if I had stumbled upon exactly what I had been searching for!
So I started being creative on the computer and ended up providing invitations, stickers, party games, and so much more for my friends' weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties. I even designed MY WHOLE WEDDING STATIONERY - which received so many compliments if I may say so!
In 2019, my husband and I moved from Brazil to Canada and, 4 months later, the COVID-19 pandemic hit us all... It brought so many challenges to my job search, to have my family visiting me from abroad, to keep my sanity while in a strict Canadian lockdown.
In May 2020, I turned my hobby into my TOOL TO HANDLE ANXIETY and, why not, maybe as a source of income. Paper Dot Design was born during those uncertain times. Initially, SELF-DOUBT held me back. And, while I was still figuring out this platform, I finally got a full-time job, and then another - yes, I worked at 2 FULL-TIME JOBS for 2 years! -, I could not invest time into this baby.
However, this shop is the apple of my eye. This is what I truly love to do! So, here I am a few years later, after a lot of training to build new skills, a lot of market research and mentorship, proud to say that PAPER DOT DESIGN is now here to stay!
