Inspired to share my creations
I have always liked creating things. I enjoy transforming miscellaneous parts into a useful finished product. When a university instructor of mine offered a class in bookbinding, I jumped at the chance to learn something new. I loved being able to take a pile of paper and a needle and thread and some glue and end up with a book that was as good as any you could buy in the store.
I started out making journals to use myself and to give away to friends. Over the last 25 years, I have experimented with non-adhesive binding methods, case-bound books, Coptic stitching, and scrapbooks. I have perfected my travel journal process and continue to make these and take them on my trips. My journals have survived traveling through rainstorms in Japan, summer heat in Turkey, bitter winds in Iceland, and snow-capped mountains in Switzerland. When I return from a trip, the musings of a journal are expanded with pictures into a handmade post-bound scrapbook like the ones I sell to finalize the memories of the trip.
My books are cut, sewn, and glued entirely by hand. I can customize colors and papers to suit your desire: wedding albums, baby books, scrapbooks, travel journals for a specific country and more. My books will hold your treasured memories for a lifetime. I look forward to you giving them a try.
