Welcome to our mother/ daughter etsy shop! My name is Emily, and my mother Arlene and I have been creative partners for many years now. Arlene is a wife and mother of three grown children (I am her oldest). We have always shared a love of craft and the arts. After graduating from college in 2001, I worked side by side with my mother for many years in her local gift shop. Working together and making life long friends along the way was one of the most special times in both our lives. Our store has been closed for a few years now, but we are so excited to be working together again on etsy!! Through etsy we have been introduced to a whole new selling experience. It is so exciting to communicate with people all over the country! We always welcome conversations, and special order requests. Every day we are working to come up with new and exciting products to offer in our shop.
Arlene is the crafts-woman behind all the handmade/ hand-stamped items we offer! She has always loved stamping and paper crafts, and is really excited that she has finally been able to start her dream business. She also has a lifelong passion for sewing. She runs another shop on etsy called A Thyme to Sew where she shares her handmade pillows, bags, and home décor.
I myself handle most of the online communication for Paper Thyme, and keep the shop running on a day to day basis. I am happily married and have a young son who keeps me very busy! I also have many hobbies of my own including knitting, baking, and quilting. I also run another etsy shop for my husband called Maggio Woodshop. It is sometimes hard to juggle all our creative pursuits while working day jobs, but we love it!
